Step one · say hello
Every duck is numbered. Log where you found yours so the next finder can see how far it has travelled — then decide whether to adopt it or set it loose again.
No catch, no purchase, nothing owed. A passenger paid a few cents for this duck and hid it on purpose.
Half of finders take the duck home for the shelf. The other half tuck it somewhere new — a handrail, a deck chair, the library shelf — and let it keep sailing.
The tag is the good part. Below are travel agents who will quote your next cruise with a finder’s discount attached.

Ducks go out in batches, hand-placed on Royal Caribbean sailings. Every one of them carries this page in its tag.
Where they end up
A duck hidden on a Bahamas short break and a duck hidden on an Alaska sailing are the same duck — they just wake up somewhere different.
How the whole thing turns
Ducks ride the ships. Every duck carries a code. Every code lands here. Travel agents pay to be what the finder sees — and the finder gets a discount, or the free cruise, for having picked up a duck.

Ducks are placed by hand, 200 to a ship, and topped back up once a month. Fleet list and passenger figures are Royal Caribbean’s own published numbers and vary by sailing. Hero of the Seas is not listed — she enters service in 2027. “Found” counts ducks logged on this site by the people who picked them up.

No. Every code on this page is visible without signing up for anything. Logging your find is optional and exists so the duck’s travel history keeps growing.
No. duckduckatsea is independent and has no affiliation with, sponsorship from, or endorsement by any cruise line. Ship names are used only to describe where ducks have been found.
Public indoor spaces where a duck can’t fall, block anything, or be mistaken for lost property. Never on railings facing open water, never at a lifeboat or muster station, never in a crew-only area. If a crew member asks you to move it, move it.
